Some Books Suggestions

Sometimes one needs a text upon which learn something. Good books are hard to find. In this years I have selected some names that I found very useful. Remember to write down or otherwise redo the authors' reasoning, this is how this books are meant to be used.

Nowadays thanks to LLM models like gemini 3.1 Pro, or similar, one can have access to very good and cheap teachers. Still the LLM cannot provide a meaningful course in any topic. LLM + Very good books is now the top path to learn any theoretical argument. Often it is not necessary to have the physical book, you can look up in the table of contents the arguments and work your way in the subject with these.

Physics

  1. Mechanics: Goldstein, Classical Mechanics; for Italians Focardi's mechanics. Landau's Course 1st book.
  2. Statistical Mechanics: Huang.
  3. Optics: Born, Max, Emil Wolf (1997). Principles of Optics.
  4. Basic Quantum Mechanics: Ballentine.
